The following tool package is for those seeking the absolute best equipment to build their rods. You will notice that there is some overlap in some areas with the Basic Tool Package, but this package features a very fine plane upgrade as well as a bodied scraper plane. In addition diamond stones are utilized for sharpening as well as an ultrafine 8,000 grit stone for final honing. Although diamond stones are much more expensive they hold numerous advantages over waterstones and the stones listed below are all used in building our rods.
